A baby ladder

Jacob is leaning on me as we lay on the couch…I’m watching TV, he’s playing with his camera.

Jacob: Mom…the baby needs a ladder.

Me: For what?

Jacob: So he can climb out.

Me: Out of where?

Jacob: Out of your mouth! But just a small ladder though mommy. He’s just a baby. He’s not a big boy yet. But you can’t chew it, or swallow it, or he can’t get out! And Mom… he has to be very careful, it’s very slippery in there. And stinky!!!

(P.S. - We’re bringing the ladder on his fire truck to the hospital. lol)

Wow…can you imagine Highschool?? The next few days, my response to his, “10 more minutes.” was, “It’s already been 10 minutes Jacob. It’s time to get up. Let’s go. We’re going to be late.”

Yesterday, when I went to wake Jacob up for school, his response to me was, “ELEVEN MORE MINUTES MOM!!!”

I laughed until I had tears in my eyes.

Ate Jenna’s Brush…

This morning I had to pull Jacob’s hair into a “like Duane” (pony tail) because I didn’t have the time to fix it properly. We were rushing (as usual) this morning and I couldn’t find his brush. So I grabbed my round styling brush from the drawer in the bathroom and Jacob says, “Look! It’s Ate Jenna’s brush!” Then I said, “Oh yeah? Does Ate Jenna have a brush like this also?”  I proceeded to try to brush his hair and he ducked. He screamed in horror! “NO! You can’t use that brush Mommy!” When I asked why he answered, “Because it’s special! It’s Ate Jenna’s special brush!”   

DOH!



Rainbow Cupcakes…. we’re getting there.

This year, we went to our town’s annual Halloween Festival as ‘Yo Gabba Gabba’ and I have to admit, we were a hit!! Especially DJ Lance Rock! Yes…I made the boom box.

We WON First Prize for ‘Group Costume’ at the Annual PBA Parade!
